DRIVERS

  1. Only persons named on the insurance policy at time of hire may drive the motorhome
  2. Drivers must be over the age of 25 and under 70 and held a valid licence for at least one year.  Age groups outside this bracket may be insured with an additional premium and will be down to our insurer's discretion
  3. Driving licences with endorsements maybe subject to a surcharge and must be declared before hire.  However, in the main, a couple of speeding fines is unlikely to inhibit your right to hire a gusto! Motorhome
  4. Driving licence to be produced on collection of the motorhome
    On collection of the motorhome the hirer will need to provide a form of ID along with a recent utility bill (original only)


INSURANCE

  1. Fully comprehensive insurance is provided within the hire charge and for the hire period only, driving outside this period of cover would deem to be an offence under the road traffic act. In the event of an accident, loss or damage, the hirer will be liable to pay the first £500 of any incident resulting in a claim
  2. A £500 deposit is required to cover any damage to the motorhome which is not covered by the insurance policy
  3. The damage deposit will be refunded on the satisfactory return of the motorhome, being on time and in the same condition it was hired. Deductions will be taken from this deposit in respect of any damage, late returns and equipment replacement costs
  4. It is advised that hirer takes out separate personal accident insurance when travelling in Europe
  5. Any damage to tyres, windscreen and any theft or loss of personal effects is not covered by our insurance and shall be at your expense
  6. gusto! Motorhomes must be notified if hirer intends on leaving the country failure to do so would invalidate the insurance cover


BOOKING DETAILS

  1. Reservations can be made either by telephone or online but will only be held once a completed booking form has been received with a deposit of £100.00 per week (non-refundable)
  2. Confirmation will be posted within 7 days

CANCELLATIONS AND NO SHOW

  1. All cancellations should be confirmed in writing
  2. Should you cancel your confirmed booking more than 8 weeks prior to commencement of hire you will forfeit your booking deposit
  3. Should you cancel your booking up to 8 weeks prior to commencement of hire, unfortunately you will forfeit your deposit and 50% of hire fee
  4. Sadly, no shows will forfeit the whole hire fee


PAYMENT

  1. Full payment is due 28 days prior to the collection of the motorhome along with your £500 (refundable) deposit. Payments can be made by cheque postal order or debit/credit card
  2. Late returns will be subject to a charge of £40.00 per hour.  If you know you are running late gusto! Motorhomes would appreciate a call as soon as possible with an updated expected arrival time


MOTORHOME COLLECTION AND RETURN

  1. Motorhome hire timing will be agreed in writing before your holiday begins
  2. No refund is given for early motorhome returns
  3. On return of the motorhome all hirers are to ensure the motorhome is clean and tidy and the chemical toilet is clean and free from waste. Each carries an additional charge of £40.00 deductible from the £500 deposit
  4. It is entirely the hirer’s responsibility to check that on collection the motorhome is free from damage and defects


BREAKDOWNS AND ACCIDENTS

  1. In the event of a breakdown or accident, recovery services will be at your disposal 24 hours a day 7 day a week
  2. You are authorised to spend up to £50.00 on necessary repairs and gusto! Motorhomes will reimburse you against a valid VAT receipt
  3. Any repairs above £50.00 need to be authorised by a member of staff at gusto! Motorhomes
  4. Any breakdown, malfunction or damage caused by hirers negligence will be made good at your expense
  5. Every effort is made to ensure the motorhome is in a roadworthy and safe condition prior to each and every hire. Therefore gusto! Motorhomes do not have any responsibility for hotel or any other consequential expenses subsequent to a breakdown
    However gusto! Motorhomes will refund the loss for any complete days lost for the use of the motorhome providing you have documentation to support this claim
  6. The maximum height of your motorhome is clearly stated. Any damage is the responsibility of the hirer


FUEL, GAS AND WATER

  1. A full tank of diesel is supplied with the motorhome at commencement of hire and it is expected to be returned with a full tank. A £30.00 charge will apply for any fuel shortage plus amount needed to fill tank. This will be taken from the £500.00 deposit
  2. It is the hirers responsibility to check and maintain oil and water levels to motorhome specifications
  3. Two gas cylinders will be supplied at commencement of hire; at least one will be full. The cost of refills thereafter will be the responsibility of the hirer and on return of motorhome at least one of these should be full. Any cylinders lost or incorrectly exchanged will be charged to the hirer


GENERAL

  1. The hirer must ensure that all passengers wear seat belts provided
  2. The hirer is responsible for all parking/motoring offences during the hire period
  3. The hirer must ensure the motorhome is not overloaded and carries only the correct number of passengers as per motorhome specifications
  4. The hirer must not use the motorhome for hire or reward
  5. The hirer will not tow any vehicle or trailer behind the motorhome
  6. The hirer is responsible for ensuring the motorhome is locked when left unattended
  7. The hirer will ensure all hatches and doors are securely fastened during transit


PETS

As much as gusto! Motorhomes loves pets, unfortunately Dolly and Babs are both allergic to animal fur so we are afraid pets are not allowed inside the rented motorhomes


SMOKING

gusto! Motorhomes appreciates that some of its customers will like the odd cigarette whilst they are on holiday.  Alas though, the law is such now that you will need to smoke outside the motorhome.  gusto! Motorhomes will happily provide an umbrella in the Winter months for any smoking customers.


GUSTO! MOTORHOMES RESERVE THE RIGHT TO VARY RATES AND CONDITIONS AT ANY TIME. GUSTO! MOTORHOMES RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE HIRE TO ANY PERSON(S) FOR ANY REASON AND NOT HAND OVER THE MOTORHOME IF IT FEELS THE HIRER IS NOT SUITABLE FOR WHATEVER REASON. GUSTO! MOTORHOMES RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REPOSSESS THE MOTORHOME AT ANY TIME, DUE TO MISUSE, DAMAGE OR ACCIDENT


On booking the motorhome the hirer is legally deemed to have agreed and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
